Equipped with GitiSport e.GTR2 Pro tires, the BYD's YangWang U9 electric supercar reached a speed of 375.12 km/h during tests held in China last May. This feat, which was only announced last week, is not final. Also fitted with Giti tires, this fantastic machine will soon return to the track, likely at the Nürburgring, to attempt to surpass this mark and break the world record for the fastest lap time in the EV supercar class.
The YangWang U9 is powered by four 240 kW electric motors, providing a total power output of 960 kW (1,287 hp) and a maximum torque of 1680 N·m. Considered one of the fastest electric cars in the world, this two-seater supermachine can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.36 seconds.
Giti is one of the main suppliers of original equipment tires to BYD, especially in the electric car segment. That's why it's always a source of great pride to share news like this with you.
