Scenario Update and Case Presentations
The first day of the program took place at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Hotel. The event was opened by PTGT Export Director, Andy Wu, who emphasized the importance of everyone working connected with the same goals and products. Following that, the Director of Sales for Latin America, Amy Yang, updated the group on Giti's news, including the new factory under construction in China, which adopts the most sophisticated technological processes and advanced equipment, in line with the Industry 4.0 concept.
Carlos Sperafico and Andru Useche, responsible for the Commercial area in Latin America, spoke about the new technologies developed by Giti, such as Giti Silent and Giti Seal, as well as the differentiators of Giti tires for electric vehicles, a segment where the company has already become a global reference. They also presented the brand's latest launches - GitiControl P10, GitiSport S2, and GitiSport GTR3 - and the new generation of 4x4 tires, launched worldwide during the convention.
Latam Marketing Manager, Luciana Otsuki, updated participants on Giti's strategies to expand and strengthen the brand concept in the region. To add even more knowledge to the participants, consultant Edward Cubbin focused his presentation on topics such as smart sales and brand positioning, applying dynamics that engaged the distributors.
The first day of the convention concluded with the presentation of three success stories by established Giti dealers in the region, who shared their best practices. Kenji Kasahara from the Dominican Republic spoke about the brand recognition strategy used on social media to boost sales; Stephan Bernheim from Uruguay explained how investments in motorsports help drive new business; and Hector Bendeck discussed the success of working with sales creatively and intelligently, showing his stores always full of customers.
Emotion and Interaction during Circuit Day
The second day was marked by various activities held at the Autódromo Internacional de Las Américas, where four stations were set up with different types of tire test-drives: Time Attack and Speed Brake with GitiSport S2; Handling with GitiControl P10; and Simulator Race, where competition tires from Giti were also showcased.
On this occasion, dealers were able to drive different vehicles equipped with Giti tires to experience the efficiency of the products in terms of drivability, braking, and noise. The simulator brought the excitement of racing in a safe and fun way. The excitement was only surpassed by the closing event held at night. In an environment with typical Dominican Republic music and dances, Giti awarded the dealers who performed best in the tests and presented a commemorative plaque to all participants, as a form of recognition and thanks for their time in the commercial partnership.
"Meetings like this show Giti's strength as a differentiated company that operates globally but is aligned with the expectations of its main business partners and final customers, wherever they are. Our products are globally recognized by major car manufacturers, and we are very proud of the work we do in Latin America and the Caribbean, important markets for Giti," said Luciana Otsuki. "Conecta Giti was very well evaluated by our partners and, without a doubt, was a milestone in the relationships we seek to strengthen in the region," she added.
