Giti x Volkswagen World Record Attempt Update - China Part 1
As “8 Guinness World Record”-holder, Rainer Zietlow makes his way through China, he has finally arrived in Shanghai, home to Giti Tire’s China headquarters. Driving the ID.Buzz wrapped in Giti livery, he has travelled from Kaxgar to Shanghai after a short but efficient stopover in Giti Tire’s after-sales service centre, Speedwork Autocare. There he received convenient, high-quality and professional car care, including an in-depth inspection of his tires’ condition.
Based on his extensive and intensive 5-year of experience driving around the world for various world records, Rainer shared that “good EV tires should have less road resistance”, stating that with lower rolling resistance, the car is able to go further. But in balancing the paradox of low rolling resistance with grip and handling, Rainer affirmed that Giti tires give him “a super feeling on the highway” with “super grip [and] good contact”.
During his stay, Rainer also visited Three on the Bund in Shanghai, where the striking Giti livery caught the attention of fans and media. There he engaged with members of the public, sharing about his experience with Giti tires as he travels around the world.
As he moves on with his world record journey, he heads towards Hefei to visit Giti’s Research & Development Centre to explore the technologies that create the exceptional performance of Giti tires, while providing Giti engineers with valuable insight from this world record holder and avid EV driver on how they can further develop Giti’s products to further improve the performance of Giti tires to meet the needs of the driving enthusiasts and every-day drivers.
